Still about Steel Panther

Steel panther, band asal LA, California ini baru saja merilis album major pertamanya "Feel The Steel" tahun 2009 kemarin.. banyak fakta unik dari band berpersonil 4 orang gila bergaya era glam tahun 80an. Band ini sempat hilang selama 25 tahun sebelum album pertamanya diluncurkan, fakta yang unik, mereka pertama muncul tahun 1984 dan sempat terkenal dan hampir rekaman, tetapi ada masalah miscommunication antara Steel Panther dengan Labelnya, dan tiba-tiba mereka menghilang begitu saja.

25 tahun berikutnya, tepatnya tahun 2009 mereka muncul kembali dengan hits nya "death to All but Metal", hits yang menurut saya sangat keren walau liriknya sangat explisit dan provokatif. Di lagu " Death to All but Metal" ini mereka menghina-hina genre-genre musik lain, termasuk band dan penyanyinya, ini liriknya:

bisa dilihat dari lirik diatas, hahaha. keren banget sih sebenernya, saya sebagai diehard fans band metal mengakui kalau lirik ini bagus bgt, dengan gaya Steel Panther yang klasik, keren abis.. videoklipnya sudah saya post sebelumnya.

Band ini bergenre Glam Metal, walaupun mereka baru mengeluarkan album setahun lalu, tapi jiwa mereka tetap 80an, bisa dilihat dari gaya pakaian dan sound mereka. karakter mereka yang khas dapat dengan mudah diingat dan menarik perhatian banyak org.. Michael Starr sebagai vokalis, Satchel sebagai gitaris, Lexxi Foxx sebagai bassist dan Stix zadinia sebagai drummer menjadikan Steel Panther band yang sangat menggairahkan musik metal kembali.
